DANANG INTERNATION AIRPORT NEW LOOK

Da Nang International Airport stands as one of Vietnam’s most dynamic gateways, welcoming millions of domestic and international travelers each year. Our goal was to redefine the airport’s visual and navigational experience through a cohesive environmental design system that enhances clarity, efficiency, and brand identity.

The project focused on creating a seamless journey for passengers—from arrival to departure—by integrating intuitive wayfinding, modern visual language, and consistent communication across all touchpoints. The result is a refined, user-centered design system that not only improves navigation but also elevates the overall passenger experience in a contemporary, globally aligned airport environment.

AIRPORT INSTRUCTION/SIGNAGE DESIGN

The airport instruction system was designed with a strong focus on readability, hierarchy, and intuitive navigation. Clear typography, strategic color coding, and structured layouts guide passengers effortlessly through complex spaces.

From directional signage to informational panels, every element is aligned within a unified design language. The system reduces cognitive load, minimizes confusion, and ensures that travelers can move confidently and efficiently throughout the airport.

ICON SYSTEM DESIGN

A comprehensive icon system was developed to ensure universal understanding across diverse passenger groups. The design approach emphasizes simplicity, clarity, and international recognizability while maintaining a distinct visual identity tailored to Da Nang.

Each icon was carefully crafted using a consistent grid, stroke weight, and geometric structure to ensure harmony across the entire system. The icons are optimized for visibility at various scales and distances, allowing passengers to quickly interpret information in high-traffic environments.

POSM DESIGN

The Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM) system extends the airport’s visual identity into commercial and promotional spaces. Designed to balance visibility with aesthetic consistency, the POSM enhances brand communication without disrupting the overall environment.

By integrating design principles from the wayfinding system, POSM elements maintain visual coherence while supporting retail and service partners. This creates a more engaging and premium passenger experience, where commercial messaging feels naturally embedded within the airport space.
